Title: Beginning and Development

The history of Iglesia Cristiana Peniel Lourdes dates back to June 11, 2022, when it was born on 3rd East Street in the center of Lourdes Colón. In its beginnings, the church only gathered on Saturdays at 4 pm, under the coverage of Iglesia Peniel Santa Tecla. It was a small meeting that marked the beginning of a great story.

Congregation Growth:

Real growth began to take shape in August 2023. A pastor was established, and the first Sunday service was held on August 27. Initially, only seven people gathered, but with the launch of the sports ministry that same week, the next service on September 3 saw attendance skyrocket to 57 people. Currently, the church holds meetings on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with a total of around 95 people.

Ministries and Activities:

The church has flourished with various ministries that have touched the hearts of the community. The Sports Ministry has formed six soccer teams, involving about 45 people. The School Ministry serves 60 young people, while Peniel Academy has 28 students. In addition, the TG Youth Ministry is deploying its gifts in the service of God and the community, impacting lives.

Construction Project:

With the vision of growth and improvement, the church has launched a construction project. This includes remodeling the temple with a false ceiling and ceramic floor, as well as renovating the classrooms of the old school with new floors, ceilings, and walls. A complete transformation of the bathrooms and the court is also contemplated. This project not only seeks to improve the facilities to provide better care for our children, youth, and adults but also to strengthen the sense of community.

Social Aid Programs:

Committed to its missionary calling, the TG Ministry carried out the first missionary visit, delivering clothes and toys to both children and adults in a community of extreme poverty.

Iglesia Cristiana Peniel Lourdes aims to transform lives by knowing God and receiving Christ. In the period that the church has been working, an environment of spiritual and community growth has been cultivated. Every step, every project, and every ministry is imbued with the desire to present the gospel of Jesus Christ, providing opportunities and hope to the Lourdes Colón community.
