History and Foundation:

The idea of founding the Peniel Church arose with the purpose of meeting the spiritual needs of the student population of the "Flavio Josefo" Christian High School and their family members who did not belong to a church. Its founder is Pastor Edgar Borja.

Establishment in Santa Tecla:

The Church started as a branch on August 23, 2009, with the intention of providing a place of congregation for the students of the Flavio Josefo High School and their families. And from the year 2012, it became the central church of the network.

Expansion of the Peniel Church Network:

As the central headquarters, the expansion of the network's churches has been promoted, totaling 7 additional branches, with a primary focus on the La Libertad department and weekly attendance averaging 3,000 people directly.

Current Attention and Services:

Currently, the church serves more than 300 people weekly and has various services, including the care of over 250 students at the Getsemaní Christian High School (formerly Flavio Josefo).

Ministries and Activities:

The church has developed various ministries, such as sports, which attracts 14 teams and over 100 people weekly. It also has ministries for children, a nursery, and a breakfast ministry that provides food to over 60 families once a week. Participation is key, with essential support ministries in each service being praise, social ministry, and off-hours care through family cells.

Alliances and Collaborations:

The headquarters has established an alliance with CAPUCOM, providing technical training to people seeking employment, especially beneficial for the youth of the high school and their families and friends.

Significant Events and Achievements:

In the year 2010, designated as the Year of Fullness, the first baptisms took place. In 2011, the first soccer tournament was held, becoming one of the most successful ministries in reaching the unreached to date.

Scholarship Programs and Peniel Academy:

The church has the support to provide 60 partial scholarships, 20 of which are funded by the Montgomery church. The goal is to expand this benefit to more people with limited resources. The branch also has Peniel Academy, benefiting over 70 people weekly.

Support and Coordination:

The central church provides financial, accounting, research and development support, training for teaching staff, technical advice, and logistics for the follow-up of scholarships in all Peniel network branches. From the central church, support is coordinated to systematize experiences and share best practices with other churches and educational institutions in the Peniel Network.
