Title: Beginnings and Development

The history of Iglesia Cristiana Peniel Villanueva began in a prayer house on September 17, 2019, where initially 26 brothers and sisters gathered. With no Peniel network churches at that time, the opportunity arose to acquire land and initiate the construction of a roof for the church. Although this project is still in its early stages, the congregation is motivated and committed to continue building. In 2020, with the goal of expanding the kingdom, PENIEL ACADEMY was launched, and in 2022, a group of young people was involved in a soccer tournament, using this platform to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Formal Worship Services and Infrastructure Development:

The church officially inaugurated its services on December 29, 2019, at the designated location to build the temple, located on 4th West Street in the El Centro neighborhood of the urban area. Throughout 2020, construction continued, including roof installation, wall repairs, and floor cementing. Due to COVID-19, attention was paused in 2020. After the pandemic, leadership was renewed at the headquarters, and by 2023, the bathrooms have been successfully built. Despite the challenging circumstances, the church overcame those obstacles. Currently, the congregation serves an average of 40 families weekly.

Future Projects and Social Focus:

The church looks toward the future with the intention of recovering and strengthening the projects of PENIEL ACADEMY. Additionally, there are plans to implement new social assistance programs, such as providing food baskets to the neediest families, among others. This commitment demonstrates the church's vision not only to grow spiritually but also to have a positive impact on the Villanueva community.
